United States public records

Address history search

Trace the addresses associated with a name over time. Address history is the densest category we return and usually the most complete.

What a record includes

  • Street address, city, state and postal code
  • First seen and last seen dates
  • Approximate residency period
  • Other names associated with the same address

A middle initial is optional. It helps us put the right person first when several people share a name — it never narrows the search or hides results.

Entering a name here does not mean a record exists for that person, and does not indicate criminal history. Search results describe what our data sources contain, nothing more.

Where this data comes from

Utility connection records, property and assessor filings, credit header data, voter files where public, and change-of-address and directory data.

What it will not tell you

An address appearing against a name means a data source associated the two, not that the person lived there or lives there now. Sublets, mail forwarding, shared households and data-entry errors all produce addresses that were never a residence. Dates are inferred from when a source reported the association, so they indicate when the record was created rather than when someone moved.

Other record types

Records are compiled from third-party public data sources and are provided as they are supplied to us. We do not verify, correct, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or current status of any record. Data may be incomplete, outdated, or associated with a different person of the same or similar name. Do not act on a record without independently confirming it with the originating source.
