This site is operated by Platinum Digital Enterprise Pty Ltd (ABN 57 676 841 357, ACN 676 841 357), 29/97 Creek Street, Brisbane QLD 4000, Australia, trading as National Public Records. All prices are in US dollars.
Check before you pay — the preview is free
Every search runs for real before you are asked for anything. The preview shows the actual number of records located for a person, by category, from a live search. It costs nothing and there is no card required.
This means you never pay to find out there was nothing to find. If a search returns no records, we say so and offer a broadened search rather than selling you an empty report.
Cancelling
Cancel from your dashboard at any time. Your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. We email you before every renewal.
You can cancel from your dashboard in two clicks. There is no retention flow, no phone call and no form.
Reports are delivered when you unlock them
A report is compiled and delivered the moment you unlock it, and the monthly allowance it uses is not restored. Subscription payments are for the period they cover and are not refunded on cancellation; you keep access for the rest of that period.
A report is compiled on demand from live data sources at the moment you unlock it. Once it is delivered it cannot be returned, in the same way a delivered digital file cannot be.
Your report allowance resets at the start of each billing period. Unused reports do not carry over.
When a report does not cost you anything
The preview search is free and shows real record counts before you subscribe, so you never pay to find out there was nothing there. If a report fails to generate, it does not use one of your monthly reports.
If our data sources are unavailable and a report fails to compile, your monthly allowance is not touched. You can run it again when the service recovers.
A report that contains fewer records than you hoped is not a failed report. The preview told you what existed before you unlocked it, and thin results are a fact about the person, not a fault in the service.
Duplicate charges and billing errors
If you have been charged twice for the same billing period, or charged after cancelling, email support@nationalpublicrecords.us with the date and amount. Genuine billing errors are corrected in full.
Before you contact your bank
If something looks wrong, email us first. We answer within one business day and can usually resolve it faster than a bank can, including cancelling a subscription you no longer want.
Nothing in this policy limits any right you have that cannot lawfully be excluded.
