Terms of service

These terms govern your use of nationalpublicrecords.us. By searching, subscribing or unlocking a report you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

National Public Records is a search tool over third-party public records data. We aggregate records from commercial data suppliers and public sources and present what those sources contain for a name you search.

We are not a consumer reporting agency and this is not a consumer report as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. We do not verify, correct or guarantee any record. A record shown here may be incomplete, out of date, or belong to a different person with the same or a similar name.

We are not affiliated with any government agency. We do not act on behalf of, and are not endorsed by, any federal, state or local authority.

Search United States public records by name and state: Address history, Phone numbers and emails, Property records, Court and civil records, Criminal records, Sex offender registry.

I agree not to use this site, or any report from it, for:

• Employment screening or hiring decisions
• Tenant or housing applications
• Credit or loan eligibility
• Insurance underwriting
• Any other purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act

You may not scrape, resell, redistribute or bulk-extract data from this site, use automated means to access it, or attempt to circumvent any rate limit. You must be at least 18 years old.

We may suspend or terminate access immediately, without refund, for any breach of this section. Use of the service for a prohibited purpose may also expose you to liability under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and other laws.

Access is sold as a monthly subscription. The current plans are:

• Single — $9.90 per month, including 1 reports per billing period.
• Starter — $29.90 per month, including 5 reports per billing period.
• Standard — $49.90 per month, including 10 reports per billing period.
• Professional — $89.90 per month, including 20 reports per billing period.

All prices are in US dollars. Your report allowance resets at the start of each billing period. Unused reports do not carry over. Searching and previews are free and unlimited within our rate limits; only unlocking a full report uses your monthly allowance.

Your subscription renews automatically each month at the price shown until you cancel. We email you before every renewal. Payment is taken by our payment processor; we never see or store your card details.

Why we keep your card on file. Subscribing saves your card with Stripe so your monthly plan can renew and so you can unlock optional add-ons without re-entering it. We never see or store your full card number — it is held by Stripe.

What we may charge, and when. Two things, and nothing else. Your monthly subscription, on the same date each month, at the plan price you chose, until you cancel. And optional add-ons, which are unscheduled: one charge happens each time you press an unlock button, for the exact amount printed on that button, and never automatically or on a schedule.

How the amount is set. Subscription charges are the plan price shown when you subscribed. Add-on charges are the price shown on the unlock button at the moment you press it. We do not vary an amount after the fact, and we do not charge usage-based or estimated amounts.

Stopping it. Remove your saved card or cancel your subscription from your dashboard at any time. Cancelling keeps your access to the end of the period you have paid for. Removing your card stops add-on purchases immediately.

Cancel from your dashboard at any time. Your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. We email you before every renewal.

A report is compiled and delivered the moment you unlock it, and the monthly allowance it uses is not restored. Subscription payments are for the period they cover and are not refunded on cancellation; you keep access for the rest of that period.

Your search runs once you subscribe. If it returns no matches at all for the name and state you gave us, email us and we will refund you in full. If a report fails to generate, it does not use one of your monthly reports.

An add-on charge pays for the search itself. If the search cannot be completed, the charge is refunded in full automatically and you do not need to ask. A search that completes and returns no records for that person has still been performed, and is not refunded — your report shows those categories as searched.

Nothing in this section limits any right you have that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Records are provided as supplied to us. We make no warranty of accuracy, completeness or currency, and the service is provided on an as-is basis to the fullest extent the law allows.

Do not act on any record without independently confirming it with the originating source. You are responsible for how you use what you find.

Anyone may request removal of their information from our search results at no cost, at any time. Removal is always free — we never charge to remove a record, and we never charge to keep one suppressed.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of this service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including any decision you make on the basis of a record.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email to subscribers before they take effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
