Sex offender registry search
Check whether a name matches an entry in the national sex offender registry index. This category returns a match or no match rather than a count.
What a record includes
- Whether a registry match was located
- Registering jurisdiction
- Registry identifier, where published
- Listed offense category
Where this data comes from
The national public sex offender index, which aggregates the individual state and territory registries maintained by each jurisdiction.
What it will not tell you
Registries are maintained by each jurisdiction separately, and the national index reflects them with a lag. A common name can match a registrant who is a different person entirely — matching on name alone is not identification. Registry data is published for public safety purposes and is subject to each state's own use restrictions; several prohibit using it to harass or discriminate against a registrant. Always verify against the originating state registry, which is free to search directly.

Records are compiled from third-party public data sources and are provided as they are supplied to us. Data may be incomplete, outdated, or associated with a different person of the same or similar name. Do not act on a record without independently confirming it with the originating source.
